Stunning moment rescuer pulls out two venomous snakes from same spot
A wife of a farmer, who had gone to collect firewood, spotted a snake in her backyard in a village in Bhadrak district of eastern India .
In panic, she called snake rescuer Mirza Mohd Arif, and asked him to come and remove it.
When Mirza went to the spot he was surprised to see two venomous snakes inside the hut.
“A monocled cobra was on top of the viper. I managed to grab their tales and capture them together,” said Mirza.
He put them in separate plastic containers and released them in a nearby forest later.
Monocled cobras are known to hunt and eat russell vipers. The cobra had probably gone to make a meal out of the russel viper, whose life was unwittingly saved by Mirza.
