Indian officials launched a frenetic rescue effort to pull out a bull from a 30-feet-well.

During the rescue effort, loose soil began to cave in threatening to bury the bull alive.

The rescue team worked frantically to excavate the earth and bring out the bull alive.

The 400-kg adult animal fell into the 30-feet deep well on the night of January 16 in Faridabad in North India.

The next morning, a passer-by heard the distressed cries of the animal and called the police and the fire brigade.

The rescue team brought in earth movers, which dug around the well to create a path for the bull to come out.

But as they removed the concrete rings that had been placed to secure the well, loose earth began to cave in on the bull.

Officials got down the well to remove earth frantically as the earth movers did their work.

After a rescue effort lasting for nearly four hours, the bull walked out to its freedom.
