CCTV camera captures the moment a heavy truck loses its balance and topples over a car in Punjab, India
A CCTV camera has captured the moment a speeding truck topples on a car that was plying on the road in Ropar, Punjab, northern India.
In the footage, the truck can be seen losing its balance and toppling on a car that tried to overtake it on a busy road.
The footage suggests that the speeding car which wanted to overtake the truck laden with heavy goods came in front of it all of a sudden.
The truck driver who tried to stop the truck by braking led the tyres to skid. The heavy truck laden with goods then lost its balance and fell on the car.
The truck can be seen dragging the car to certain metres after toppling on it.
The bystanders who saw the mishap unfold rushed to save the occupants in the car as the car remained crushed beneath the heavy vehicle.
The crowd somehow managed to pull two injured passengers alive from inside the car while the driver and the passenger adjacent to the driver seat were spotted dead.
The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital where they are said to be in a critical state and fighting for their life.
The truck driver escaped with minor injuries, however, the people caught hold of the driver and handed him over to the police. The police are now investigating the matter based on the CCTV footage.
