Two train passengers were filmed engaging in an argument over seating arrangements.

The incident occurred on Tuesday (January 22) when a man, who was on his way home on the train at Redfern station with his partner, sat in the middle of a three seater row.

The man did not give enough space for the passenger sitting next to him and ended up touching him.

The other passenger immediately expressed his anger: "Can you stop touching me...are you trying to start some s*** with me?"

To which the other man responded: "No, I'm just trying to sit here"

Tensions continued to heighten resulting in the thuggish man threatening to "follow" the other man and his partner when they got off the train.

The man's threats later peaked with "I'm going to count to five then punch you in the head’’

The filmer told Newsflare: "Sydney is a pretty safe city rarely do you have people stopping train lines over minor issues

"it was actually quite a big deal because the guy backed up the train lines for about 15 minutes due to the altercation"

The police were called to the scene and the man was reported to the police
