A cold snap has caused parts of Niagara Falls to freeze, turning the famous landmark into a winter wonderland.

Footage captured on January 22 in Ontario, Canada, shows Niagara Falls partially frozen over.

Tourists can be seen enjoying the extraordinary views as they attempt to capture the best picture.

Niagara falls tourist area covered in thick ice and frozen over in severe cold weather in Canada making for beautiful stunning scenes like something out of a movie. The weather went from mild to severe cold with high wind which drove the mist from the falls into the town coating everything in ice and parts of the falls have frozen over as well.
