A helicopter ushers a giraffe towards conservation workers in order to secure the large mammal as part of a relocation effort.

The conservation workers use long ropes in front of the already-darted giraffe in order to slow it down, on a farm outside Vaalwater, South Africa.

Giraffes rarely go down on their own after being sedated, which is why long ropes are used to secure the animals' long legs, to prevent harm to it and the ground crew.
