The crew of an Indian fishing boat have been rescued after their dhow sunk in the Arabian Sea.

Dhow Amar Jyoti started flooding at midnight on Thursday (January 24) and sunk on Friday morning after the coastguard came to the aid of the sailors.

The footage shows the dhow being towed by another boat, dhow Al Yasin, before submerging into the sea leaving only the tip of the boat visible.

India’s Oil and Natural Gas Corporation had hired the dhow to complete an offshore survey.
