White Shark Shows Unusual Curiosity Towards GoPro Camera
Great White Sharks are typically known for terrorising beaches and devouring what ever they want but these stereotypes are fuelled by fiction. In this clip a massive 3.5meter (12ft) great white shark passes cameraman Ewan Wilson (age 23) and instead of an aggressive interaction the enormous fish looks directly into the camera.
Sharks have tiny electro-sensors on there nose in which they use to detect electricity radiating from other animals. The GoPros electric currents most definitely attracted the animal but in a none predatory none stereotypical way.
Video was shot off the coast of Mossel Bay Eastern Cape South Africa.
