This is the shocking moment a furious woman karate chops an airport worker while she is being frisked.

The Korean tourist became angry when she was going through the security screening at the Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok.

She was visibly agitated at having the hand-held scanner passed over her body, before raising her arms in an ‘x’ sign then delivering a powerful blow to the side female security worker’s face.

The woman’s husband immediately stepped to hold back his wife as another guard ran over. She was then seen making a martial arts style blocking move above her face and moving her wrist, indicating her readiness to fight.

Her husband then walked over to the shaken security worker to apologise. However, his wife tried to stop him, thinking that she had done nothing wrong.

The head of airport security guard came to calm the situation and ushered away the couple to be interviewed.

The woman later apologised for her aggressive behaviour.

She was fined 2,000 THB for assaulting an airport officer and was later released.

Airport boss Kittipong Kittikachorn said the female officer was just following the security procedure.

He said: ''Sometimes visitors do not want to abide by the airport rules and behave unpleasantly because they think it is a waste of time.''

''Our security officers are well-trained in handling such situations. We just want tourists to understand that the strict regulations are proceeded with for their own good.’’
