A bizarre fight erupted between neighbours in Doncaster, northern England, when they hurled planks of wood at each other over the fence.

The clip, captured on January 26, begins with a man in a grey jumper throwing a plank of wood over the fence, nearly hitting his neighbour, who threatens to throw it back.

A woman joins the man in the grey jumper and tries to put an end to the fight, standing between the two. She then enters the house only to return and throw a broom at the neighbour.

The "plank war" escalates with the neighbours on both sides throwing heavy-looking chunks of wood over the fence at each other.

It is not known if anyone was hurt in the incident.

The clip has gone viral with more than seven million views on Twitter.

The video was taken on the 27th January 2019 in Doncaster, South Yorkshire early in the morning. Two neighbours are featured arguing and fighting in the video filmed by a guy staying at his Nanna’s house across the street. However because of a fence between them they decided to throw planks of wood and brooms instead of using their fists which resulted in a comical viewing - plank wars.
