In a bizarre incident, a cook who tried making omelettes on the frying pan was left startled after discovering newborn chicks coming out of the egg instead of the yolk in Karnataka, southern India.

In the video, the cook is seen making the omelettes as he breaks open an egg and the yolk falls on the pan as expected. He then breaks open another egg, but a fully hatched chick can be seen emerging out of the egg.

He continues cracking the eggs thinking it might have been a rare case, he finds another newborn emerging out of the egg. This continues even for the third time.

An assistant who stands next to the cook can be seen picking up the chicks one by one immediately as the pan is hot and the birds may get killed.

He collects all the chicks that emerge from inside the egg. The people can be seen laughing at the rare event while the cook continues to break other eggs to make the omelette as customers are lined up.

The chicks were later stored inside a hen cage to be raised by the restaurant's cook.

The video was later shared by a food blogger who was on the spot to capture the omelette making style of the cook.

The video garnered a lot of views and comments from across the globe.
