A wild bison entered inside the CSI engineering college campus and sent ripples of panic among the students and the professors in Ooty in the state of Tamil Nadu, southern India.

In the video, the beast can be seen roaming aimlessly inside the campus as students film the rare sight of the animal inside their institution.

After roaming for about a minute, it then tries escaping through the campus gate towards the city but as soon as it tries reaching near the gate, the gatekeeper closes the iron-gate preventing the beast from escaping.

It then tries to find space beside the gate to make an escape but again turns back and starts roaming inside the campus.

The institution authorities by then inform the forest officials who then arrive at the campus and capture the bison.

A student said, “Wild bison entering inside the campus is a rare thing and we were panicked to see it inside.”

Another student said, “We stood near the parking area and were unable to leave the premises because of the animal.
