Year of the pig: UK cartoon character Peppa takes China by storm in run-up to Lunar New Year
Chinese vendors on the streets have started to sell various decorations for the upcoming Chinese New Year, including images of UK-made children's cartoon character.
In the video, shot in Huai’an City in eastern China’s Jiangsu Province on January 29, couplets, posters with Fu (fortune) characters and pig images, including Peppa Pig as well as paper-cuttings and lanterns are displayed on the ground for sale.
