A woman was stunned when she went to put on her shoes and noticed a SNAKE slithering through them.

Krit Papangkorn spotted the yellow-stripped reptile inside her black flip-flops in the porch of her home in Lamphun, northern Thailand, on January 25.

She covered the snake with a bucket, afraid that it could be poisonous and harmful to her and her pets. Krit said: ''I have no knowledge about snakes at all. So, I recorded this video and ask my friends what it is while I kept it in my sight.''

It was believed that the serpent was a Laotian wolf snake, which loves to stay on the cold ground and hide under things. Her friend said: ''A cold atmosphere like house tiles make a perfect dwelling for the snake. This kind of snake is non-venomous but it is a biter. It will bite you if it gets scared. The bite could be a threat to human’s life if you are allergic to it.''

Krit decided to put the colourful snake in a box and released it back into its natural habitat.
