ABFAB AURORA PULSATION IN ICELAND REALTIME VIDEO

Buy video

around midnight of October 7-8 , 2018, after the main impact of the G1 Kp5 auroral storm was getting calm, there was new aurora activity, not as bright and easily unseen... this is the subtle pulsating aurora, caught here with an extreme low-light camera ( Sony a7s2 ) and fast lens ( Rokinon 24mm f/1.4 ) at very high ISO, filmed in realtime at 25 fps ... the delicate green and pink colours are often invisible to the human eye and so is the pulsationi. Many people go sleep after the main event of the northern lights. But if you happen to stay out and there's no moonlight nor city lights, you may get rewarded with this amazing pulsating aurora, which can last for hours, sometimes till dawn.
filmed in realtime video 25 fps in eastern Iceland , along ringroad 1 , some 6 km north of the Hvalnes Lighthouse
