This is the moment a drunk British man was hauled off a plane after downing six drinks and becoming aggressive towards the cabin crew and passengers.

David Young, 44, had been visiting his mum in British Columbia, Canada over the
Christmas holidays but was trollied when he boarded the WestJet flight on January 4, 2019.

The aircraft was forced to dump fuel and turn back to Calgary International Airport in
Alberta, in western Canada.

Young was jailed for 10 days and ordered to pay 12,000 GBP to cover the fuel
the plane was forced to dump - and he could still face a demand for over
100,000 GBP more if the airline demands he also pay the passenger
compensation costs.

His own lawyer, Michelle Parhar, said that Young was a recovering
alcoholic who had been clean 18 months but had returned to drinking
after a death in the family and after getting a divorce.
