We are a Dutch family with 2 children. During our visit to the Thula Thula resort we met the young male elephant Mbula during the game on the morning of July 26th 2013. This adolescent elephant was full of hormones when he made it clear to us that we were on his property. He immediately made it clear that we had to leave. Our driver responded quickly and went back at full speed. Mbalu, however, kept chasing us and came dangerously close. Although we felt reasonably safe, this was a very exciting moment. Glad we had such a skilled driver. After a few minutes, Mbalu stopped his pursuit and we could return to the Thula Thula resort, which was founded by the famous elephant whisperer and international bestselling author Lawrence Anthony.
