Four people were injured in a nitrogen balloon blast at the inaugural ceremony of a wrestling tournament in southern India.

Footage captured today (February 5) shows the terrifying moment a bunch of balloons explode and send a fireball over the heads of a group of attendees.

The accident happened Suttur Karnataka which is located on the banks of river Kapila in Nanjangud taluk in Mysuru.

The injured were rushed to a hospital nearby and three are in a critical condition.

The blast happened after a torch accidentally touched the balloons, which were part of the decorations at the venue.

Tragedy was averted when a bunch of gas balloons filled with helium gas exploded in sutoor where innagural function of wrestling tournament was taking place .  Shivratri Deshikendra swamiji  ,head pontiff of suttur mutt was the chief guest on the function ..when swamiji was innagurating the tournament ,balloons put up on top for decorations suddenly blasted , swamiji  escaped unhurt ....
According to reports, hundreds thronged at the inauguration event. The gathering witnessed scores of wrestlers and visitors. As per reports, the fire lasted only a couple of seconds but critically injured at least three people. The injured ones were rushed to a nearby hospital. More details awaited.
