Vietnamese couples swing really high as part of bizarre lunar new year tradition
This is a swing festival held every year at the beginning of the lunar year in Thua Thien Hue Province, Vietnam.
The festival with the participation of pre-selected players with traditional costumes divided into several teams. The team that controls the highest flying swing will be the winner and will receive rewards from the organizers. The meaning of the festival is to pray for favorable weather and bumper crops.
The giant swing over 6 meters high is made of sturdy bamboo trees. The player will try to control the flying swing as high as possible.
