Bombardier Beetle Test Fire
This is a video of my test of a Bombardier Beetle's defense mechanism (i.e. shooting boiling hot liquid out of twin jets in its rump). I found the beetle in my home office/ tarantula room, running across the floor in front of me.
I suspended the beetle in the air on the end of a snipped off Q-tip stick with some cool but tacky, low-temperature hot glue.
Afterwards, the beetle was easily released from the glue to no ill effect.
