A female rhino and her calf were spotted munching on some bark from a fallen tree, when the mother noticed some tourists watching her, resulting in her pouting to the camera.

The clip, filmed in Kruger National Park on January 28, shows the rhino start to scratch her upper lip, which isn’t normally seen by tourists on safari.

The filmer told Newsflare: “After rubbing off the mud from her lips, the female rhino looked at us from the corner of her tiny eye. She lifted her head and in true fashion style she pouted her impressive looking lips.

"It was as if she knew we all were watching her and taking pictures of her, keeping her pout for a few seconds like a true fashion model posing for photos,”

During a safari in the Kruger National Park we were fortunate enough to find a female white rhino and her calf around a mud wallow. The mother rhino and her baby spent some time wallowing in the mud. From there the rhinos moved to a large wooden stump. Normally rhinos would scratch their itchy bodies from all sides and angles against stumps or rocks. The female rhino grabbed everybody’s attention as she started scratching her huge upper lip against the stump. We never knew that such a big and odd looking upper lip could become itchy. Even the baby rhino looked a little confused. The big square lips of the white rhino is one of the distinctive features that distinguishes them from the black rhino which has a small pointy and hooked upper lip.
