A police constable in India’s Mumbai city had a close shave with death recently after he was hit by a speeding biker. The incident was caught on camera.

According to reports, the incident which took place in the western city’s Bandra area, also involved a lady.

CCTV footage showed that the constable, who was manning the Carter Road traffic section, was stationed with other officials.

After a few vehicles passed, a particular bike rider, who was over-speeding, was approached by the constable.

Unable to control the speed, the bike, bearing two individuals, a man and a lady, directly rammed the on duty official.

All three, the rider, the pillion rider and the constable fell on the ground.

They received immediate attention as it happened during the day-time in the open.

While the constable was helped on his feet by others, it is understood that he was in pain, as he barely managed to stand.

The rider too sat down with a hand placed above his heart.

A policeman was caught on the tape making a phone call. It is understood that he called for help.
