A woman delivered her baby at her home in north London after having a surprise delivery before she could get to hospital.

The father and uncle of the baby took charge, getting the mother comfortable and followed instructions via call from emergency service and were able to deliver the baby safely.

A paramedic arrived on the scene and jokingly said "what have I missed?" Both mother and baby were reported as being in good condition despite the hasty birth.

What should have been a regular trip to the hospital for an expectant mum and her family turned into a life affirming experience for everyone involved.
North London expectant mum Vicky, her husband, older brother and 3yr old daughter were readying themselves to go to hospital as her contractions at started.
Before they could walk out of the door she wanted to go to use the bathroom!
The contractions got heavy and she had to get baby out IMMEDIATELY!
An obviously panicking Dad and older brother took charge...got mum comfortable and followed instructions via call from emergency service...After the dad of baby and uncle delivered the new born, signs of relieve all round. Paramedic arrived on the scene and jokingly said "what have I missed"? after checks were made, baby and mum are doing fine!
