Salisbury is set to be declared safe following a long time operation to clean up the trail of nerve agent that poisoned the former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter, almost a year ago.

The UK government is expected to announce the handover of Skripal’s house to Wiltshire Council today (March 1), according to local reports.

Footage shows the Skripal's house covered with scaffolding and plastic sheeting during the decontamination process on February 11.

The home of former Russian spy Sergei Skripal is being decontaminated following the Novichok poisoning attack of March 2018. Specialist teams have now covered the property with scaffolding and plastic sheeting to create a ‘sealed frame’. They are removing the roof of the house and the garage and replacing them to ensure no trace of Novichok remains.
