A scary video has emerged of a paraglider having a close call with a barrel full of explosives during a stunt in Florida, US.

The footage captures the moment when a barrel full of Tannerite was deliberately fired towards a man using a paramotor, over a field in Umatilla earlier this month.

According to the filmer, he and his neighbour have years of experience firing explosives and using paramotors, and had carefully planned the stunt to trick friends and family into believing the paraglider was in danger of being hit.

Footage shot by the paraglider shows the barrel – which was fired 380 metres into the sky – passing just a few metres from him.

Both men claim they had carefully planned and rehearsed the stunt and used a trick of perspective to fool their friends and family on the ground.
