There are more than 100 wild elephants in Valparai in Coimbatore district. Some of these wild elephants came to the tea gardens and camped there this morning

Wild elephants are constantly coming into the residential area. Thought these elephants attract tourist attention, people are scared and go to the Forest Department Officials for protection.

Workers at the tea estate are afraid to go for work as these jumbos have camped day and night, with the whole herd.

The forest department has been conducting serious patrolling operations. In the meantime, they have announced the public and the tourist to stay away from that particular area.
