A man in south India found out why you should be careful leaving shoes unattended, when he discovered a 5-foot-long snake hiding in his right shoe yesterday (February 12).

Video of the incident took place at a house in Nelmangala, Karnataka state, when a 5-foot-long snake was found hiding in a shoe in a residential colony, prompting the owner to call for a snake rescuer.

The snake rescuer arrived promptly and rescued the lost animal and later realised it back into the forest.
