At least 20 people were arrested while protesting Trump’s emergency declaration outside the Trump International Hotel & Tower in New York City last night (February 15).

Footage shows NYPD officers taking protesters into custody and breaking up a sit-down protest that was blocking the traffic outside the hotel.

In the video, protesters can be heard shouting ''Arrest Trump, not us'' whilst carrying ''No Trump, no wall'' and ''Trump is the emergency'' signs as NYPD officers stand nearby.

''This President has manufactured an emergency to advance his xenophobic agenda. We need to be out in the streets taking action, letting people see that what is going on is not ok. In this country there should be more freedom, liberty and safety and a process of law,'' a demonstrator says in the clip.

The protest comes after Trump declared a national emergency on Friday in a move to secure more funds for his proposed border wall with Mexico.
