This is the heart-stopping moment a group of brave men pushes away a truck after it caught fire at a petrol station.

The truck had come to refuel at a gas station in Elamathur near Erode in South India on February 15.

Smoke started coming out of the truck and the fire spread quickly threatening to explode.

Workers at the station realised that taking the truck out of the station was the only solution to avoid any tragedy.

CCTV footage shows the driver getting into the truck to change the gear to neutral before workers push the vehicle away from the petrol station.

CCTV footage shows an employee using a handy fire extinguisher to put out the fire.

But as the flames are too strong and they realise that the only way to put out the fire is to push the truck away.

That is not an easy task as the driver had got down after putting the truck in first gear.
