We have relocated to Gloucestershire 3 years ago in hope for Simpler kind of Life. Forest of Dean brings us a lot of new, FUN ACTIVITIES to do with our sons. Due to a Heat Wave in summer 2018 and literally no rain for weeks, river Wye has dropped so much, it was possible to take our boys for a swim in a Wild River. It was their very first time swimming outside in wild river and they had soooo much fun. This was one of the life time opportunities for many adults too. People would turn up from wide area to have a wild swim. Gypsies came and bathed their horses and dogs too, it was fun to watch. Wild swimming brought a lot of childhood memories back fro me an my husband, we were happy that our children experienced it too. Although we don't wish for any more heat waves, this would be great annual, fun, family activity to do with our kids every year. Life in Forest of Dean is wonderful.
