A footage of a thief in action in western India’s Maharashtra has surfaced. The unfortunate incident took place at the Churchgate station in south Mumbai.

The act was caught on CCTV cameras installed inside the station premises.

According to the footage, which was recorded on Feb. 8 at around 9:30 p.m., a young man was seen picking up a smartphone from an elderly man’s shirt’s pocket.

The unsuspecting victim was seen standing near an eatery located at the station premises.

The video shows the thief sneaking behind the man. He then uses a yellow plastic bag, lifts his hand close to the victim’s pockets and takes out the phone in one swift motion.

The victim fails to realise any of it and has no clue that his phone has been lifted.

The thief then proceeds to move away from the place.

It is not known if the perpetrator has been apprehended or not or if the man has got back his mobile phone.

In a separate incident involving theft, a gang of women engineered a heist inside a shop in Rajasthan.

The daring act was caught on cameras too.

According to the video, a young girl was seen emptying the cash register of the shop while her seniors kept the shopkeeper distracted with an exchange.
