Australian tourist in Bali causes offence with ripped jeans showing off her backside
An Australian tourist stunned locals with these bizarre ripped jeans - showing off her underwear.
The holidaymaker was seen walking around souvenir shops in Bali, Indonesia, earlier this week wearing a tattered jeans that displayed her behind.
Her boyfriend, wearing a vest and flip-flops, seemed unconcerned about his partner's revealing choice of clothes as they shopped for handicrafts.
But several locals gathered round the couple to express their shock at her ''inappropriate'' jeans. She was later identified as a tourist called 'Jaclyn' from Sydney who was staying at a nearby hotel.
Wayan Aziz, a local Balinese taxi driver, said: ''I thought she didn't know that her jeans had holes in them showing her panties. I tried to tell her.
''But actually, it seems like the jeans were intended to be like that. I don't think it's a good thing to wear in public. It's not suitable.''
Other locals in the strict and conservative holiday island agreed that the woman should not have been showing off her backside in public.
Writing online, Ndari Marti said: ''This might be OK for night time on the beach but I think it's quite rude in day. The shokeeper might not have wanted to see a foreigner's underwear.''
