Mother now spoon-feeds vitamins to gaming addict 'zombie' son amid fears he's wasting away
A mother who was filmed taking food to her gaming addict 'zombie' son has started spoon-feeding him VITAMINS amid fears he's wasting away.
Lilybeth Marvel, 37, made headlines around the world last week with her bizarre approach to controlling thirteen-year-old Carlito Garcia's obsession with battle royale game ''Rules of Survival''.
She was seen shovelling handfuls of rice into his mouth while his eyes remained lock on the screen ''like a zombie'' at his local internet cafe in Nueva Ecija, Philippines.
Lilybeth and husband Carlito had even taken their son out of school because he was so often playing truant and spending his time on the computer.
The devoted mother, who insists that allowing him to continue gaming is the right approach to tackling his addiction, has now started giving him a daily dose of liquid multivitamins while he plays the online game.
She was filmed today (Mon) administering the medicine to her son, who was still wearing the same blue hoody he was last week.
Lilybeth, a massage therapist, said: ''My son goes to the computer shop every morning and stays until late at night when he doesn't have any coins left.
''I have started giving him vitamins because he lacks exercise due to gaming. I'm worried his muscles will start wasting away because he's sat in the seat for hours and hours.''
Lilybeth said that Carlito's condition had improved slightly as he now returns home and performs household chores. But he still hasn't returned to school.
The mother-of-three added: ''He's getting better and I think we'll have to be patient.''
