Kind-hearted men rescue crying porpoise from market and release it back into the sea
Two kind-hearted men spent more than £170 to rescue a porpoise from a market in southern China and released it back to the sea.
In the clip, shot in Zhanjiang City in Guangdong Province on February 18, Chen Mingyue and Chen Jianzhuang pull a porpoise that they bought from a market on a wooden cart to release it back into the sea.
According to Chen Mingyue, he and Chen Jianzhuang happened to see a fisherman selling the porpoise in the market. Since the porpoise was still alive and appeared to be weeping, the two men bought it and released it.
Since porpoises are a nationally protected species, the case was being investigated by authorities.
