A complex of heavy thunderstorms, some with radar-estimated tops exceeding 40,000 feet above ground level, affected southeast Texas and the Houston, TX, USA area on the evening of Tuesday, February 26, 2019. Rainfall rates exceeded 2.50” per hour in spots, with many areas experiencing widespread street flooding, stranding cars who attempted to pass through flood-covered roadways.
This video was shot around 7:15pm on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 in the City of West University Place, TX in the aftermath of the heavy rainfall event that lasted from 6:00pm CT to 7:00pm CT.
