This was the moment drivers on the M23 near Hooley, Surrey had to slow down and proceed with caution, as a small patch of fog completely obscured the motorway.

Shot this morning (February 27) the driver was shocked when he saw cars slowing down quickly ahead of him making wary of a potential collision, only to clear the fog almost immediately.

The driver explained: "I was heading Southbound on the M23 from Hooley in Surrey on the way to my first drop in Crawley when the fog started to appear.

I started slowing keeping within my braking distance until I was down to around 15mph with cars around me stopped completely!

"I was just waiting for a thud at the back of my lorry from another car. But luckily it disappeared shortly after the worst part of it."
