A hungry elephant raids a cool box as shocked tourists look on.

The large bull ventured into the clearing where groups of holidaymakers were on a hiking tour through the jungle.

It made a beeline for a refreshments stand where food and drinks were being kept for the ground - and immediately snared a large red plastic box.

Footage shows how the elephant dragged the box from the wooden hut then crushed it with its feet.

The pachyderm then plundered the packages of sandwiches and sticky rice that were being stored inside.

The unusual was captured in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, on January 16.
