Emergency personnel are responded to a single-vehicle collision into the storefront at Fortinos in west Burlington.

A lone occupant of the vehicle — a dark-coloured SUV — crashed into the Plains Road grocery store at the west entrance shortly after 3 p.m., shattering a huge section of the glass.

There were no serious injuries to the female driver or customers, and no charges have been laid.

One employee said the entire store "shook" at the moment of the crash and that it was extremely fortunate the accident didn't happen earlier, since the vehicle smashed through the lunch section of Fortinos.
