Boy, 4, miraculously escapes buffalo stampede in northern India

This is the heart-stopping moment a little boy escapes getting crushed under a stampeding buffalo herd.

The incident happened in Shivpuri district in Central India on March 4.

Kanhaiya (4) son Praveen Shrivastav, a resident of Karera town, was playing outside his home when a herd of buffaloes suddenly came running his way.

Frightened by the animals, the child tried to run but was caught right in the middle of the stampede.

A few animals ran ahead missing the boy by inches while a few others turned back.

Passersby, who saw the horrifying incident rushed to move the boy to safety.

The incident was caught on a CCTV camera of a school.

A local resident Anil Shrivatsava said: “A lot of stray animals pass through this street every day though we had never seen anything like this earlier. Officials should control the menace of stray cattle in town.”
