At the end of a recent safari in the Kruger Park, we were driving along a road leading to the exit gate not seeing much animals at all. Everything changed quickly when we came around a corner. As we came around the corner, we were surprised to find a lot of tourist vehicles all standing still, looking like peak time traffic in the city. In the middle of the road was male and female lion lying. This lion couple brought all traffic on this road to a standstill. It was clear that the lions did not care about all the attention and were not going anywhere in a hurry soon. The male and female were totally preoccupied by their own important endeavors. It took another twenty minutes before the lion couple decided to move to the side of the road and let the traffic past.
