Indian forest officials rescued three elephants stuck inside a pond in southern India on March 7.

The elephants had gone to the pond at a coffee estate in Coorg district in the state of Karnataka to drink water but accidentally fell into it.

Local villagers saw the three animals struggling to come out and called forest officials, who brought heavy-duty machinery to allow the elephants to escape to climb up and return to the jungle.
