Just a week after an Indian Air Force chopper crashed in Budgam area of Jammu and Kashmir, a fighter jet faced a similar fate on March 8. The incident took place in north India’s Rajasthan state, close to the Indo-Pakistan border.

Reports said the pilot ejected safely.

The jet was identified as a MiG aircraft. It crashed in Shoba Sar ki Dhani area in Bikaner district.

Initial reports hinted at a bird hit for the crash.

Meanwhile, locals told reporters they witnessed two pilots ejecting safely.

An inquiry is awaited.

The Budgam crash, which involved a Mi-17 chopper, killed seven people, including a civilian and six Indian Air Force personnel.
