Driver has lucky escape after electricity post falls on his car
A driver had a lucky escape after a concrete electricity post and overhead cables toppled over onto his car.
Phayak Suksri, 59, was going around a corner when a cement mixer in front of him clipped the pole. It then fell on his black Toyota in Pattaya, Thailand, on March 8 at 8pm local time.
Miraculously, the item plunged onto the bonnet - just inches away from crashing through the windscreen and injuring the driver.
Phayak thanked his lucky Buddhist amulets for saving his life. He said: ''The falling post came out of nowhere. It hit the car too quickly for me to avoid. There was a loud crash.
''I'm thankful that I survived. My amulets brought me protection.''
