Ontario: Armed Pursuit Suspect Surrenders Peacefully Following SWAT Barricade
Officers were engaging a barricaded suspect who locked himself in his vehicle in the 2000 block South Palmetto Ave. The suspect was armed and Ontario SWAT was called to the scene together with a negotiator with SBSO who managed to talk the suspect down into surrendering and exiting his car. For some time, the suspect had the gun to his head, according to initial reports. The incident appears to have begun following a pursuit. Nobody was injured during the incident.
