A dramatic video has emerged from Canada capturing the moment a car spun out of control on a snow-covered highway and narrowly avoided being hit by a lorry.

The footage, captured on a motorist’s dashcam in Mississauga, Ontario last week, shows an SUV driver losing control and almost careering into the opposite lane of traffic.

Fortunately, the other cars on the road were able to slow to a stop and the driver avoided serious injury.
