[4K Drone Footage] Massive chunks of sea ice coming ashore in Western Newfoundland | Mar 10, 2019
Massive chunks of sea-ice, coming ashore, off the coast of western Newfoundland. Footage captured on Mar 10, 2019, north of Gros Morne National Park. Near Daniel's Harbour.
Footage captured via DJI Phantom 4 drone raw footage in 4K.
As per a recent article [https://globalnews.ca/news/5021826/sea-ice-bering-sea-alaska/] and multiple recent news reports , it is believed that the sea-ice has been on the move via the Arctic Ocean due to effects related to Climate Change:
"Sea ice historically covers much of the Bering Sea throughout the winter with maximum coverage through March. Kotzebue Sound, a great bay northeast of the Bering Strait, already has open water, an occurrence normally seen in June."
