Buffalo helps itself quench thirst, uses horns to pump water from tube well
A buffalo was filmed helping itself drink water from a tube well. The incident occurred in central India’s Chhattisgarh state.
According to the footage, which took place in Bainpal village in the state’s Dantewada district, the animal was seen using its big horns to pump water from the tube well and drink.
The animal even helped other buffaloes in the herd to quench their thirst.
While bovines are not counted among the sharpest while it comes to creativity, this buffalo proved that notion wrong.
It spotted a tube well and used its big horns to exert pressure on the handle of the well to pump water. The action was repeated multiple times until the buffalo was satiated.
While animals may not possess a high level of intellect, often videos depicting otherwise surface.
In a different incident, a bull in Bihar state was filmed untying itself from a knot.
