"We are not exploiting dogs by being here," - says one of the speakers at Brexit is a Dog's Dinner Wooferendum outside Parliament on 10 March 2019. "I would rather say we could look at dogs a little bit more and follow their lead. Dogs represent loyalty and solidarity, team work, co-operation and inspiration. Brexit separated this country with a 50/50 split. We are not speaking with some of out neighbours ... the whole thing is like a massive playground... If we only look at dogs and see how they do these things: they would not agree on Brexit because they understand the basis of co-operation and working side by side and inspiring loyalty and commitment in working through difficult situations together ... I think this is a great, great gathering. It's also celebrating the dog and our faith in man's best friend, without whom none of us would be standing here anyway. Without a dog we wouldn't be having a capitalist society and those people in that big building behind us wouldn't even have a job... Hopefully dogs will get out tongues ad tails wagging and see us on the right side of the fence. Hoorah and woof-woof!"
