Christchurch man's 'Amazing Grace' bagpipe tribute to mosque shooting victims
A New Zealander blasts ''Amazing Grace'' on his bagpipes in an emotional tribute to the shooting victims of a terrorist attack that left 49 dead.
The video was filmed today (March 15), on the same day as the attack.
A shooter opened fire on two mosques in central Christchurch, New Zealand while live steaming it on his Facebook page.
Passionately describing his motive behind his tribute, the filmer says: "Without selfless acts of compassion in such a small country we will be nothing. What I did was a small, personal tribute, small in terms of what I know the rest of the country will do individually to rise above this."
The Christchurch man describes the country as caring regardless of race, colour or religion, pulling through thousands of earthquakes which cost the lives of many.
"We as a country bonded like a family and rose above it, we have been through nationwide storms and provided relief for others even when we ourselves had nothing, and rose above it. A shooting to mark the revenge of the Paris attacks? We condemn the murderer, and rise above it.''
