Castleford motorists abandon cars as rivers across UK burst their banks
Determined motorists try to pass through a flooded section of road in Castleford, West Yorkshire, on Sunday (March 17).
Drivers ignore the abandoned vehicles, which had become stranded on Barnsdale Road, and carry on driving.
Some manage to get through while others add to the growing number of abandoned cars.
The floods occurred due to heavy rain that swept the region over the weekend.
